This 15-credit certificate/certification program has been approved by the Wisconsin DPI as preparation for License 80. This is a one-year program that begins each June. A Master's degree in Special Education, School Psychology, School Counseling, Social Work, or other pupil services professions as well as a current Professional/Teaching License in the aforementioned pupil services professions is requred. Students must have three years successful full time classroom teaching in special education OR successful experiences as pupil services professionals including at least 540 hours documented classroom teaching of children with special education eligibility.

Students must earn a B or higher in each course in order to continue in the DSEPS Certificate program and maintain a minimum total GPA of 3.0 for graduate level coursework.
