Athletic Training - Master of Science

The Master of Science in Athletic Training (MSAT) Accelerated Plan allows qualified undergraduate students to complete the fourth year of the Exercise Science major while completing the first year of MSAT coursework. The accelerated pathway for the Master of Science degree in Athletic Training is five years upon matriculation to UW-Eau Claire.

Students who plan to pursue the MSAT Accelerated Plan should add the Pre-Athletic Training advising track to their Exercise Science degree plan early in their time at UW-Eau Claire.  In addition, any student interested in the MSAT Accelerated Plan should consult with the MSAT Program Director and their academic advisor to ensure they are on track to apply for the accelerated pathway.  Accelerated coursework is confirmed upon admission to the MSAT degree program and completion of the first term in the MSAT program.  A student will earn a Master of Science in Athletic Training upon successful completion of the fifth year in the MSAT program.  Students who successfully complete the five-year program will be eligible to take the Board of Certification (BOC) Inc. examination and pursue state-level licensure as an entry-level athletic trainer.
