Classroom instruction at the University is supplemented by services provided to the entire academic community and by the specialized resources of individual departments, including a number of facilities and collections which are made available to the public.

McIntyre Library

Spaces

  • Blugold Makerspace with 3d printers, laser cutter, sewing machines, vinyl cutter,  tools, art supplies, and more, for student academic or personal use
  • Digital Studio: a multimedia lab with equipment and support in video and audio recording, photography, graphic design and virtual reality
  • quiet study areas of the 4th and 5th floor
  • group and individual study rooms, collaborative and individual computer stations, an interview room
  • Variety of individual and collaborative study areas in a 6-story structure
  • a 24-hour study area

  • Research assistance, virtual and in-person. Meet with a librarian on a drop-in basis or by appointment.

Learning and Technology Services

Learning and Technology Services (LTS) supports the University’s academic mission by providing technology infrastructure, digital learning environments, media services, and training that enhance teaching, learning, and student success. LTS partners with students, faculty, and staff to ensure reliable access to technology resources and to promote innovative and effective learning experiences across campus. 

Getting Help: LTS Help Desk

The LTS Help Desk serves as the central point of contact for assistance with learning and technology services. Students can receive timely support for technology questions and issues through telephone, email, or walk‑in consultation.

Software and Technology Skill Development Training 

Learning and Technology Services (LTS) provides training and skill‑development opportunities to help students effectively use technology in support of their academic work. LTS training services are designed to be accessible, personalized, and responsive to individual and group learning needs. 

Training is available through one‑on‑one consultations and classroom training sessions that support software use, digital tools, and academic technology skills. LTS also provides curriculum‑related technology support and assistance with academic and research projects.

Technical Infrastructure  

LTS maintains and supports the campus technical infrastructure, network services, and enterprise information systems including: 

  • Voice and data communication networks, including Wi-Fi access and telephone services 

  • Information security and integrity of institutional data and usage 

  • University email services included with Microsoft Office 365

  • Student Information Systems (SIS) including CampS and Peoplesoft 

  • Development and support of university websites and web portals 

Learning Spaces  

LTS supports technology‑enhanced learning environments by: 

  • Repairing and providing operational support for classroom and audio-visual equipment 

  • Designing, maintaining, and modernizing classroom technology 

  • Managing and supporting general‑access and instructional computing labs

Distance Education (DE)

LTS supports online and technology‑mediated instruction through: 

  • Designing and supporting of distance learning technologies and spaces

  • Providing technical support for web video conferencing tools like Microsoft Teams and Zoom 

  • Streaming live coverage for Blugold Athletics and other campus events 

Housing and Residence Life 

LTS provides technology support related to: 

  • Network infrastructure including Wi-Fi within university residence halls 

  • General access computers

  • Sustainable printing services
