Note 1: The minor is not tied to teaching licensure via the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction.
Note 2: Students pursuing a major in the ES program are eligible to pursue the following pathways for the CEC minor: Adults and Elders; Policy; and Public Health & Environmental Health. They are not eligible to pursue the Children and Youth pathway.
Note 3: Except for ES courses, no more than 12 credits from any course prefix may be counted toward the minor. CJ/WGSS and ECON/WGSS courses, for example, will count as CJ and ECON credits.
Note 4: Other courses as approved by the Community Education and Collaboration minor advisor.
Note 5: Up to three credits from Directed Studies, Independent Study, or Special Topics courses that focus on education issues may be applied to the minor with approval from the Community Education and Collaboration minor advisor.
Note 6: Many courses in the minor have prerequisites; please check the catalog for details.
Note 7: A course may not be used to meet both an Elective requirement and a Pathway requirement.

Students completing this program will be expected to meet the following learning outcomes:
- Explain how power, privilege, and oppression impact people’s cultures and experiences across education and community contexts.
- Demonstrate understanding of diverse communities and the ways people learn, particularly from minoritized identities across local, national, transnational, and global contexts.
- Apply educational knowledge and skills to respond to issues through a multidisciplinary lens, self-reflexivity, and collaboration.
